“Lluest Horse and Pony Trust is incredibly grateful for all the invaluable and critical financial support it has received from the Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust since the 1990’s”
The grants have helped us employ extra staff through long, dark, and cold winters, paid for critical veterinary care and helped the charity with the day-to-day operational costs.
Since 1985 our small charity has rescued 100’s of equines and placed 100’s into loving and experienced Guardian loan homes. In 1994 when our dear late founder Ginny Hajduckiewicz was in her last weeks with her battle against cancer, Jean Sainsbury donated £2,500 to help employ a member of staff to support the yard manager, who at the time was the one and only member of staff we had caring for the ponies.
That specific donation brought comfort and peace of mind to all involved with the charity, especially Ginny who had put her life and soul into Lluest and the animals it rescued and cared for. Most importantly it helped give security for the rescued equines living on the farm.
