“The Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust has been a lifeline for Wild Hogs Hedgehog Rescue. We rescue over 350 hedgehogs every year, and the support from Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust means we’ve helped over 3,000 hedgehogs since we started in 2010”

The grants help us to cover our running costs and enable us to keep the rescue open. They enable us to provide a hedgehog helpline run by volunteers 7 days a week. They help towards our electricity bills to heat the cages, run the washing machine and ensure we can pay our vet bills and buy food when donations run out. Without these essentials, our volunteers would not be able to continue to treat so many sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs and hoglets.
Hedgehogs are vulnerable to extinction in the UK and being able to give hedgehogs a second chance can help to maintain the populations and help them recover. The trustees and volunteers at Wild Hogs Hedgehog Rescue would like to say a huge thank you to the Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust for all your support over the years.
